May help to improve the the good bacteria in your colon.

Warnings:

The most common side effect of increased fibre intake is increased bowel gas production (flatulence). This reflects the fact that the fibre is being digested by the good gut bacteria which then produce gas as a byproduct. Less common side effects can include bloating and a feeling of fullness. If you experience side effects, try decreasing the amount of fibre you are taking. Gradually adding fibre to your diet can help your body get used to it, and it is better even if you are badly constipated to start taking fibre slowly rather than take a lot all at once. Consult your doctor for advice if you continue to experience any side effects. Recent onset or persistent constipation should be reported to your Doctor. reported to your doctor
